About Home Care
Share |

Home care is provided in the home for someone that is recovering from an injury or illness, has a chronic condition or is coping with a terminal illness. It is available for all ages, from infants to adults.

This care can be provided by medical personnel such as registered nurses (RNs), physical therapists (PTs), occupational therapists (OTs), home health aides or medical social workers (MSWs). Non-medical individuals such as professional caregivers and those individuals who are not licensed medical professionals, may also assist with the daily activities of living.

Home care is often more convenient for the individual who can be at home but needs the extra assistance for short-term or long-term care that can cannot be provided solely by family or friends.
